Upcoming Community Events

August 2, 2026 | One-Day Event

Join us for the 24th Annual Walk for Hope at Saginaw Valley State University. This community event brings people together to honor loved ones, raise awareness, and support mental health and suicide prevention. This year’s theme celebrates everyday superheroes—those who support others, speak openly about mental health, and take steps toward care and connection. Walk in honor, in memory, or in support—your presence matters.

September 17–18, 2026 | Two-Day Event

Join us at The Michigan Association of County Veteran Counselors (MACVC) Fall Conference.  MACVC is dedicated to supporting those who serve Michigan’s veterans and their families. They provide education, training, and advocacy to ensure that county veteran service officers across the state have the tools and knowledge needed to help veterans access the benefits and resources they’ve earned. Together, they’re strengthening the network of support that honors the service and sacrifice of Michigan’s veterans.

October 15–17, 2026 | Three-Day Event

Join women veterans from across Michigan for three inspiring days of connection, growth, wellness, and empowerment on the beautiful waterfront in Bay City. Hosted by the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, the Michigan Women Veterans Conference is designed exclusively for women who have served. Whether you separated from the military decades ago or recently transitioned from service, you’ll find a welcoming community of women who understand your journey.

Look for the Safeguard Veterans booth at these local events to learn more about Veteran-centered resources available in your area.
