General Education For Everyone

Simple, on-demand learning that helps you recognize warning signs and connect Veterans to the right support.

Not every Veteran needs emergency care—but every interaction matters. This VA-funded pilot program offers structured learning pathways tailored to your role in a Veteran’s life and grounded in military and Veteran cultural competence. Whether you’re a family member, healthcare provider, faith leader, coworker, community member, or first responder, you’ll receive targeted training that helps you:

  • Understand military culture, identity, and transition challenges
  • Recognize warning signs of distress
  • Have supportive, culturally-informed conversations
  • Reduce stigma and strengthen belonging
  • Guide Veterans to the right next step

Most learner pathways are designed for community members and professionals without clinical training — so you can respond with confidence in your role.

If you interact with Veterans in any of these roles, this pilot initiative is for you:

  • Family members, spouses, and peers
  • Neighbors, coworkers, and employers
  • Faith leaders and community volunteers
  • Community service providers (housing, legal aid, financial services, education, grocery and retail staff, case management)
  • Healthcare professionals and support staff
  • First responders and crisis teams
  • Organizations that serve or encounter Veterans in everyday settings

If you want to feel more prepared when a Veteran opens up—or when you notice something isn’t right—you belong here.
